Protect a position: stop loss, take profit, trailing stop
After an order, tap π‘ Stop Loss or π― Take Profit and pick a level: it is an order held by Hyperliquid that closes your position when the price reaches that level. When your position is in profit, πͺ Trailing stop keeps 75, 50 or 25% of your gain and follows the price. It never moves back.
Steps
Open your position's screen
Right after an order, the β Position opened screen offers π‘ Stop Loss and π― Take Profit. Later: Menu β π My positions, then tap the market's name. It shows your stop and your target, or "β" if there is none.

The bot offers ready-made levels, as a share of your stake, each with its price and its result in dollars; if you are already in profit, the stop offers to keep part of the gain instead. One tap on a level sets it. βοΈ Other level takes a price, a % or an amount; for a loss, use the β sign. Remove cancels the order.

Stop loss and take profit: who holds them?
Hyperliquid. The bot sends it a trigger order tied to your position. If the price touches your level, Hyperliquid closes the position at market price, and the bot sends you the net result. In your list of positions, π‘ marks the ones that have a stop.
How does the trailing stop work?
The % applies to your gain, never to the price. Your stop sits at that share of the way between your entry price and the best price reached since you turned it on. The price keeps going your way? The stop follows. The price comes back? The stop stays put. If it is hit, the position closes and the bot sends you the result.
When a position is far enough in profit, the bot may offer πͺ Protect my gain on its own. A stop set by hand turns it off: your decision comes first.
What happens near liquidation?
The bot warns you. When the price has covered 3/4 of the way from your entry price to your liquidation price, you get "β οΈ β¦ is close to liquidation", with both prices and the distance. Three buttons: β Close, β Reduce, or π₯ Deposit (π₯ Add money when you have money on Earn and the position is on cross margin); in cross margin, money added pushes that price further away. This alert reaches you even if notifications are off, silently.

Frequently asked questions
Can I set a stop loss and a take profit at the same time?
Yes. A stop loss and a take profit live together on the same position, each at its own level. Whichever is hit first closes the position, and the bot sends you the net result. When you turn on the trailing stop, your take profit stays in place.
What is the difference between a stop loss and a trailing stop?
A stop loss stays at the price you chose: it limits a loss. A trailing stop keeps a share of your gain, 75, 50 or 25%, and follows that gain without ever moving back: it protects a gain you already have. On Hyperliquid it is the same stop order, which the bot moves forward.
Why don't I see the πͺ Trailing stop button?
Because your position is not far enough in profit yet. On a tiny gain, the trailing stop would sit right against the price, and a single wick would take it out. The button shows up once a share can be set, and the bot tells you when it is worth it.
How do I change or remove a stop?
Open your position's screen, then π‘ Stop Loss or π― Take Profit, and pick another level. The new one is placed before the old one is cancelled: your position is never left without a stop in between. Remove cancels the order. For the trailing stop, π Freeze this stop leaves it in place.
