HIP-3: markets deployed on Hyperliquid by third parties
HIP-3 lets third parties deploy their own perpetual markets on Hyperliquid. That is where stocks, gold, oil, indices, currencies and pre-IPO companies come from. In StratiDex you trade them like Bitcoin: same account, same three taps.

What is HIP-3 on Hyperliquid?
HIP-3 is an upgrade of the Hyperliquid protocol. It lets an outside team, the deployer, launch its own perpetual markets on the exchange. Each deployer runs its own venue, which has a name.
The deployer chooses the market's reference price (the oracle), the contract specifications and the maximum leverage. To deploy, it must stake HYPE, Hyperliquid's token.
Orders go through Hyperliquid, just like on native markets. For you nothing changes: same account, same USDC balance.
Which markets come from HIP-3?
In StratiDex, 140+ markets come from HIP-3, next to 170+ native Hyperliquid markets. The native ones are crypto. HIP-3 markets bring the rest: stocks such as Nvidia or Tesla, gold, silver and oil, indices, currencies and pre-IPO companies.
StratiDex keeps the venues settled in USDC, the currency of your account. When the same asset is listed on two venues, the bot shows you the more traded one.
Why does the bot show NVDA and not xyz:NVDA?
Hyperliquid names a HIP-3 market with its venue in front: xyz:NVDA is Nvidia on the "xyz" venue. That prefix does not help you choose: you are looking for Nvidia, not a venue.
So the bot shows the short name, NVDA, everywhere: in the list, in search, on your positions. It keeps the full name to send your order to the right market.
Are fees different on a HIP-3 market?
They can be. The deployer can add a share to Hyperliquid's exchange fees, on top of the protocol's own. These exchange fees are charged by Hyperliquid on every order, as on every market.
Our commission is the same on every market. The details are on the Fees page. In π§Ύ Performance your result is net: fees are already counted in it.
Margin and leverage: who decides on HIP-3?
The deployer sets the maximum leverage of each market; the market screen shows it, and the last leverage button on the ticket is always that maximum. On HIP-3, isolated margin is the default rule; some markets also accept cross margin.
There is nothing for you to set: StratiDex applies cross margin when the market allows it, and isolated margin when the market requires it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need another account for HIP-3 markets?
No. In StratiDex, a HIP-3 market is traded from the same Hyperliquid account as Bitcoin, with the same USDC balance. There is nothing to move from one venue to another. All your positions show up in π My positions, each with its own screen: entry price, margin used, liquidation, stop loss and take profit.
Who sets the price of a HIP-3 market?
The deployer provides the reference price, the oracle, which follows the real asset: the share price, gold or a barrel of oil. The price at which you buy or sell comes from the orders traded on Hyperliquid. The market screen shows you that price live, with its 24Β h change.
Can a HIP-3 market stop?
Yes. A deployer can halt one of its markets: open positions are then settled at the last price. If that affects one of your positions, the bot tells you what happened. And when a market is flagged as being removed while you still hold a position on it, the bot warns you in private, with the button to your position, so you can close it.
