Hyperliquid commodity perps: gold, silver, oil and metals
Hyperliquid lists commodity perpetuals: gold (GOLD), silver (SILVER), WTI (CL), Brent (BRENTOIL), natural gas, copper, platinum and uranium. You take exposure to the price, long or short, settled in USDC, with no bar to store and no barrel to deliver. StratiDex opens them from a Telegram chat.

What these markets are, and what they are not
These are HIP-3 markets. A third-party dex — xyz, io, mkts or para — deploys the contract, its oracle follows the real-world price of the commodity, and the position is margined and settled in USDC. Hyperliquid runs 305 markets in all: 177 native crypto markets and 128 HIP-3 markets, and the commodity family sits in that second group. What you hold is a derivative on the price, not the metal and not the barrel: no vault receipt, no warehouse, no delivery date, no physical settlement. You can buy the price or sell it short, and the contract is perpetual, so there is no expiry to roll.
How to trade them in three taps
It all happens in @stratidex_bot. Open the chat, pick the market — GOLD, SILVER, CL, BRENTOIL, natural gas, copper, platinum, uranium — then the direction and the size. The account is created in your name and the private key stays exportable. Before you confirm, the bot shows a single screen: your entry price, the leverage, the exact liquidation price and every fee. On a commodity you pay 9 bp of StratiDex commission, and the venue takes 9 bp of taker fee, going in and the same coming out, plus the spread. On a native crypto market the venue's taker fee is 4.5 bp. A referred account pays 10% less commission, for life. StratiDex opens at 2×; each market sets its own leverage ceiling and its own margin mode, cross or isolated. You fund in USDC on Arbitrum One only, from 5 USDC, and the smallest order is $11.
Crypto perps run non-stop. Commodity markets follow the hours set by the venue that deployed them and can be paused: the bot says so before you send the order, and while a market is paused nothing goes through — you can neither open nor close until it reopens.
FAQ
Do I own the gold?
No. GOLD is a perpetual contract whose oracle follows the gold price, margined and settled in USDC. No bar, no vault receipt, no delivery, no storage fee. It is a derivative: your exposure is to the price and nothing else — no dividend, no voting right.
What does a gold perp trade cost?
9 bp of StratiDex commission, and 9 bp of venue taker fee, on the way in and the same on the way out, plus the spread. The deployer of a HIP-3 market sets its share of the protocol fee between 0 and 300%; 127 of the 128 HIP-3 markets sit at 100%. Every figure is on screen before you confirm. With a referral, the StratiDex commission drops by 10%, for life.
Can I short oil?
Yes. Sell CL or BRENTOIL and you gain if the price falls, at the same fees as the buy side. StratiDex opens at 2× and shows the exact liquidation price before you confirm. There is no automatic stop-loss and no take-profit: a price alert is a message, not an order, so a position left alone can be liquidated.
What happens when the market is closed?
Commodity markets follow the hours of the dex that deployed them and can be paused. During a pause no order goes through: you can neither open nor close, and the position stays as it is until the market reopens. The bot shows the status before you send the order. Native crypto perps keep trading.
