S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, XYZ100 and crypto market indices trade as perpetual contracts on Hyperliquid, from a Telegram chat with @stratidex_bot. They are HIP-3 markets: a third-party dex deploys them, an oracle follows the index, settlement is in USDC. You hold exposure to the basket, never the shares.

What these markets are, and what they are not

An index perp is a derivative whose oracle tracks a basket. On the equity side: S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, XYZ100. On the crypto side: BTC dominance, TOTAL2, OTHERS — aggregates of the market itself. The equity indices are HIP-3 markets, deployed by third-party dexes (xyz, io, mkts, para); StratiDex lists 305 markets in total, 177 native to Hyperliquid and 128 HIP-3. What you never get is the index or its constituents: no dividend, no voting right, no delivery, nothing to hold after you close. Your margin and your result are in USDC, and a leveraged position can be liquidated.

How to trade them in three taps

You open @stratidex_bot, choose the market, type a size, and read the confirmation screen before anything reaches the exchange. It shows the direction, the leverage, the exact liquidation price and the full cost. StratiDex charges 9 bp per executed order. The venue takes 4.5 bp taker on native markets; on a HIP-3 market the deployer adds a share of the protocol fee that it sets between 0 and 300%, and 127 of the 128 HIP-3 markets sit at 100%, which puts taker at 9 bp. Real entry cost: our 9 bp of commission, the venue's 4.5 bp on a native market or 9 bp on a HIP-3 market, plus the spread. A referral takes 10% off the StratiDex commission, for life. Leverage is fixed per market — up to 40× on BTC, 20× on NVDA, 50× on some — and StratiDex starts you at 2×, cross or isolated depending on the market. There is no automatic stop and no take-profit: a price alert is a message, not an order. Fund the account with USDC on Arbitrum One only, credited from 5 USDC; minimum order $11. The account is created in your name and the private key is exportable.

Native crypto markets run non-stop. HIP-3 index markets follow the hours set by the venue that deploys them and can be paused — the bot tells you the state of the market before you send an order, so a closed cash session is visible rather than guessed.

FAQ

Can I trade the S&P 500 on Hyperliquid?

Yes, as a perpetual contract. It is a HIP-3 market: a third-party dex deploys it, an oracle follows the index, and the position is margined and settled in USDC. You do not own the index or its constituents — no dividend, no voting right, no delivery.

What does an S&P 500 trade cost?

StratiDex takes 9 bp per executed order. The taker fee on a HIP-3 market is 9 bp, because 127 of the 128 HIP-3 markets set the deployer share at 100%. Entry therefore carries our 9 bp and the venue's 9 bp, plus the spread; on a native crypto market the venue takes 4.5 bp. The exact amount is on the confirmation screen before you confirm.

Are index markets open 24/7?

No. Native crypto markets run non-stop, but HIP-3 index markets follow the hours set by the venue that deploys them and can be paused. The bot says so before you send an order.

What leverage, and can I be liquidated?

Leverage is fixed per market — up to 40× on BTC, 20× on NVDA, 50× on some — and StratiDex starts you at 2×. Yes, a leveraged position can be liquidated. The exact liquidation price is shown before you confirm, and there is no automatic stop-loss: a price alert is a message, not an order.
